What’s a better way to kick off an Indie blog than with some typical Indie music. We’d say listening to Vampire Weekend gets you about… 12 ‘indie cred points’. Guys: notice what the band members are wearing most of the time; this is a prime example of that classic indie ‘look’. To get some of these indie-tastic goodies for yourself look no further than Urban Outfitters , AA, or the typical ‘vintage’ store. Shopping at any of these fine establishments will increase your indie points, however vintage should give way more than UO or AA. Note on ‘vintage’ stores: If anything (WE MEAN ANYTHING!) is less than five bucks, hightail it out of there; it ain’t vintage if you think it is reasonably priced. Also, just because someone else wore it two decades ago doesn’t mean it is ‘vintage’, it must have that funky-knit-washedout-’unique’-kitsch-y feel to it.
